The NDRRMC or National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council stated Lando with public signal warning 3 made landfall over Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, and Northern Quezon on October 17, Saturday. Just over 18 hours, Lando caused severe floods and landslides. It then reached Baguio city on October 18, Sunday, with the same intensity, signal no. 3.
The severity of the storm and winds caused the falling of trees and some electrical posts. Many barangays in Baguio had no electricity since then. The canopy roof of SM Baguio city was also completely ripped off, baring the fourth floor to the storm. The second, third, and fourth floor were closed for damage control while the supermarket on the ground floor remained open for business.
Until now, there are debris clearing operations all over Baguio as well as the repair of electrical posts.
